Switching Valve

Dehydration switching valves require a valve with can withstand wide temperature swings, frequent operation, and can handle desiccant or silica gel powder carryover.  The Hemiwedge® Cartridge Switching Valve provides a mechanical-seal in which the hemispherical closure member wedges into the seat during the last degrees of travel.  This feature makes this switching valve particularly suited for temperature cyclic applications.  A stationary core directs fluid flow through the valve without direct impingement of seats or erosion of valve body.

Upsets of dryer beds can and do occur.  One of the significant advantages of the Hemiwedge® Cartridge Switching Valve is that the cartridge can be removed and replaced in typically less than an hour without special tools.  The replacement cartridge can even be pre-tested for seat leakage, which results in an incredible reduction in downtime.

Hemiwedge® Cartridge Switching Valves have a quarter-turn operation which means lower emissions than rising stem designs. It generally results in smaller actuators and lower profile for installation in skids and for lighter weight on offshore and FPSO facilities.
